ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Scattered storms this evening in coastal regions will move west into the Gulf.

  • East wind
  • Storms move west
  • Hot temperatures

Scattered storms this evening in coastal regions will move west into the Gulf. Then skies will clear out going back to mostly clear overnight.

With an easterly breeze humidity will drop slightly tonight making for a pleasant night after the storms pass. Monday morning will start out clear with lows in the low to mid 70s.

Skies will go from sunny to partly cloudy Monday.

The east breeze will again keep our sea breeze pinned at the coast, therefore making for a really hot day with highs in the mid 90s and heat indices between 100 and 110.

There will be enough moisture for a few scattered late afternoon to evening storms, but the coverage will be limited due to dry air in the upper atmosphere.

The coverage will be at about 30 percent.

Whatever storms do form will have a westward movement toward the Gulf late in the day. Then skies will clear out for Monday night.

Lows will be in the low to mid 70s into Tuesday morning.

Tuesday will be very similar with sunny skies going partly cloudy in the afternoon and only a 30 percent coverage. Highs will be in the mid 90s.
