PALMETTO, Fla. -- The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide after a man's body was found on the side of the road.

Detectives said a motorist spotted the victim's legs protruding from the grass on the south side of Bishop Harbor Road in Palmetto at about 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
Officials say the victim, identified as Christopher Alan Boston, 33, suffered from trauma and detectives are treating the case as a homicide.
The cause of death is not being released at this time, according to the report.
