HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. -- Sunday is the last day for early voting and six candidates are hoping to take over the District 7 commission seat in Hillsborough County.

Four Democrats and two Republicans are running for the District 7 commission seat left empty by retiring Commissioner Al Higginbotham. 

Here are the candidates and their platforms:

REPUBLICANS:

Todd Marks says he will cut taxes to help businesses create jobs, ban sanctuary cities, and help the sheriff protect children at school while deporting immigrants who came here illegally. 

Aakash Patel says he's a trusted conservative that will fix county term limits and push for less traffic, more jobs, and a better education system. 

DEMOCRATS: 

Ray Chiaromonte is a lifelong Hillsborough County resident who wants to tackle a number of issues including transportation and transit, education, affordable housing, and public safety. 

Mark Nash is the former Chief of Staff of Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin Beckner and says he will fight fore innovative transit solutions, better jobs, smarter growth, affordable housing, and upgraded infrastructure. 

Kimberly Overman is a certified financial planner and business owner. She is a big advocate for investing in education and alternative transportation that will permit access to good jobs and improve the local economy. 

Sky White is a medical professional and community activist. She wants to tackle issues such as diversity and inclusion, alternative transportation systems, affordable housing, and climate change.
