Jabez Spann was last seen on Sept. 4, 2017 in the Newtown neighborhood of Sarasota. To date, the Sarasota Police Department estimates they have received about 100 tips in connection with the case.

"If something comes in, we're jumping right on it," said Lt. Scott Mayforth. "There's no lag time, there's no delay."

Police have been working on this case closely with the FBI. According to the FBI, it is possible that Jabez witnessed a murder in his neighborhood a few days before he disappeared.

On Tuesday, the teen's home was decorated with balloons and his jersey hung out front. His family and friends believe there is someone out there who knows the truth about where Jabez is.

"This community has that 'if it ain't my family' kind of mentality, and that's something we need to work on," said family friend Wayne Washington.

There's a $50,000 reward being offered in connection with this case.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sarasota Police at (941) 316-1201, or Crime Stoppers of Sarasota at (941) 366-8477.
