ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Gordon is making landfall tonight right on the border between Alabama and Mississippi.

Gordon will now start to weaken going over land, but it will still bring heavy rain and some tornadoes to that region as it moves northward.

Hurricane Florence is a category 2 hurricane out in the middle of the Atlantic.

The great news is that it’s still not near any land and won’t be over the next week.

Beyond that, there is some uncertainty but it doesn't appear to be a threat for Florida.
