DAVENPORT, Fla. -- A 41-year-old man was arrested after two road rage incidents on Tuesday in Davenport.

  • Man rammed into SUV
  • Lance Lambert charged
  • Lambert found with cannabis, pills

Polk County deputies say Lance Lambert was stopped in the middle lane during a green light at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Parkway and Highway 27 when another driver approached Lambert to ask if he was okay.

The victim told deputies that Lambert replied yes, then suddenly began screaming and threatening to shoot him. Lambert then rammed his pick-up truck into the victim's Dodge SUV and fled to a nearby shopping plaza.

A Polk County deputy spotted the incident and when he approached Lambert, officials said Lambert began to yell at him and would not cooperate.

The deputy had to call for back-up before Lambert was taken into custody.

During the investigation, deputies learned Lambert also rammed into a FedEx truck in the same area.

Officials said they also found cannabis and some unknown pills in his truck.

Lambert was charged with aggravated battery, possession of cannabis, and resisting without violence.

Officials also noted that Lambert was on inmate release status for conspiracy of drug trafficking.
