CLEARWATER, Fla. -- City police are investigating the finding of two dead bodies.

Officers responded to Shephard's Beach Resort on S. Gulfview Boulevard at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The bodies of two adults -- a man and woman -- were found inside a second-floor room.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene.

No names have been released. The hotel remained in operation but did not comment when contacted by Spectrum Bay News 9.

Police said there was no threat to the public.
