CLEARWATER, Fla. — A Bay area organization is helping young mothers in need.

Mothers of Minors, or 'MOM' for short, held their 4th annual Showers of Love Community Baby Shower on Saturday. The organization connects young, pregnant girls with other young moms so they can learn and support one another.

They also help expecting mothers with baby clothes, diapers, shoes, and other necessities.

"It does help a lot for the young moms to know that they have people out here, that they don't need to jump through a lot of hoops to get help and that we're here to help them," Andrea Clark, founder of MOM, said.

The event takes place once a year, but organizers say they hope to collect enough donations to do it twice a year.
