A Manatee County faith based organization is taking those opportunities into their own hands. The Beauty for Ashes Cleaning Service is employing women who may not have been given another opportunity from their past to get back on their feet and become successful members of society.

"I'm really excited to be working for Beauty for Ashes Cleaning Service. I'm very excited," Danielle Fannon said.

Fannon is one of the woman working for the new business. She is now turning her life around after starting drugs at just 13-years-old.

"I started doing drugs, marijuana, and then I was doing cocaine, and then after that I started smoking crack," Fannon said.

The 20-year-old mother said she knew she needed to get help and is now proud to say she is clean.

With the start of the business, she can build her resume up while she currently works on getting her GED.

"It's often times difficult finding jobs when you have a long period possibly of not working, or a record behind you, or just a lack of confidence," Debbi Hannah, Beauty for Ashes Director, said.

Hannah opened Beauty for Ashes in 2016 as a faith based rehab facility, announcing at the start of this year the Beauty for Ashes Cleaning Service.

All of the profits from the business will go right back to the rehab facility in hopes of expanding services to even more women.

Before the women enter the homes they have extensive cleaning training--on top of completing at least three months in the Beauty for Ashes program.

For the first time in her life, Fannon said her future is bright. A simple opportunity that is opening doors for Fannon to restart her life.

"My end goal is just to provide for my family, and to be happy, to know that I don't have to go back to the life I was living before and not having to depend on anyone but myself and God," Fannon said.

The Beauty for Ashes Cleaning Service is licensed and insured. They said they are already getting calls for business.
