A pedestrian was killed in Orange County Tuesday night after being hit by two vehicles, says Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers are investigating the crash, which happened on Pine Hills Road at White Heron Drive around 6 p.m.

According to FHP, Tra Cassanova, 25, was driving a 2006 Volkswagen vehicle northbound on Pine Hills Road in a bidirectional turn lane, when the front of his vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was walking in the turn lane.

The pedestrian landed in the southbound lane and was run over by a 2005 Chrysler driven by 34-year-old Darryl Patterson.

The pedestrian reportedly died on scene.

Both north and southbound lanes of Pine Hills Road were blocked when troopers were on the scene.

No word yet on the identity of the victim or if any charges are pending against the drivers.
