The man shot Tuesday night at a Super 8 Motel in Clearwater has died.

According to Clearwater police, 44-year-old Jermaine Crumpton died at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg overnight.
Police responded a call of shots fired at the motel at 22950 U.S. Hwy 19 just before 9:30 p.m.
Once police arrived, they found Crumpton suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The shooting remains under investigation.
