TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Fire Rescue is investigating a fire at the Tampa Yacht and Country Club in South Tampa. 

The club's newly built maintenance building caught fire around 10:20 p.m. on Thursday. 

Officials said the horse stables located next to the burning building had to be evacuated.  People pitched in to move 27 horses out of the stables to ensure their safety. 

Firefighters had the fire under control by 10:45 p.m., officials said. 

No injuries were reported. 

The fire remains under investigation.
