HILLSBOROUGH COUTNY, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested a wanted suspect who was found hiding in a Tampa home on Thursday night.

Robert Hubbard, 40, is accused of threatening patrons with a gun during an altercation last Monday, October 8, at a pub located at 7209 N Dale Mabry Highway. 

Deputies said Hubbard, a violent felony offender, fled the scene and crashed his car before fleeing on foot. 

On Thursday, October 18, deputies received a tip that Hubbard could be hiding in a home located on Waterhole Place North in Tampa.  A K-9 deputy located Hubbard hiding inside a bedroom closet and was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for a self-inflicted neck injury. 

According to deputies, Hubbard was already wanted on charges including probation violation, using an altered ID, robbery, fraudulent use of a credit card, grand theft, giving false information to a pawnbroker, and dealing in stolen property.
