ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Skies will be partly cloudy overnight with some patchy fog into Friday morning. Lows will be in the upper 60s to low 70s.

  • Warm into Friday
  • Weekend front
  • Stronger front Tuesday

Friday will be very similar to the past few days, with a mix of sun and clouds and a 20 percent chance of an afternoon to evening shower. Highs will again be in the mid 80s.

A weak cold front will slide into the area Saturday. With it will come some scattered showers that will pass through followed by slightly cooler air.

The temperatures will only drop a little, but it will feel more comfortable with lower humidity, especially Saturday night into Sunday. Expect a range of highs Saturday from the mid 70s in northern counties to the low 80s south of the Bay.

The front will then stall out just to our south, so there will be some clouds and a small chance of a shower Sunday. Highs will be in the low 80s.

That front will then drift back north on Monday with warm, muggier air returning. That will also result in some scattered storms in the area that day. Highs will be in the mid 80s.

Tuesday will be when we get the next cold front. That one will come through with some scattered showers and storms.

Highs Tuesday will be in the upper 70s to near 80. Then a rush of cooler, drier air will come in Tuesday night into Wednesday.

But beyond that is still a question mark. That front will also likely stall out somewhere just to our south, but it is too early to know exactly where and for how long.
