CLEARWATER, Fla. — A Pinellas County elementary school teacher was arrested and charged with grand theft Friday.

Officials said on October 14 employees at an Ulta Beauty store location in Seminole contacted the Sheriff's Office in connection with a shoplifting incident. Surveillance video showed a woman stealing multiple beauty, facial, and hair products.

According to detectives, the stolen items were valued at $537.

The surveillance video was released to the public via social media on November 7. 

 

Shortly after, a Pinellas School Resource Officer identified the woman seen in the video to detectives as Kelly Greene, 24, a teacher at Lakewood Elementary School.

When contacted by detectives, Greene admitted to committing the theft. She arrested and subsequently charged with one count of grand theft (retail).

No further information has been released.
