TAMPA, Fla. — Some extra help is coming for families affected by Hurricane Maria or Irma.
- Program has 2 eligibility requirements
- Coalition received more than $100,000
- Residents can call ELCHC at 813-515-2340
The Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County has partnered with United Way and the Community Foundation to offer financial assistance for childcare.
The program has two eligibility requirements:
- Parents/guardians must be living in Hillsborough County
- Children must be 12 years old or younger
The coalition recently received more than $100,000 after the need for childcare assistance for these families became apparent over the past year.
"We're here to help our families, as I said, (from) 8:30-4:30, and to ensure that they're accessing the support that they need after the effects of Hurricane Maria," said Abigail Perez with the ELCHC.
Interested families can reach out to dvega@elchc.org or jmontes@elchc.org to schedule an appointment and complete the required paperwork.
Families can also call the ELCHC at 813-515-2340.
