TAMPA, Fla. — Hillsborough County authorities continue to search for a driver that crashed a pickup truck into a Carrollwood-area home and then ran off despite pinning a 71-year-old woman in the rubble.

Deputies are searching for the driver of a Chevy Silverado that rammed into the home at 12428 Pepperfield Drive in the Plantation community.
The truck slammed through the front walls of the home and pinned the 71-year-old woman, who was sitting on her couch.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded and worked for over 30 minutes to free the woman. She was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital in critical condition.
Deputies said the man who was driving the truck fled on foot after the crash, which caused extensive damage to the home.
