ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — After about three years of construction, St. Petersburg's newest and tallest building is ready to welcome residents.

The big building with the small address is ready for tenants. And after the economic crunch around 2008, housing has come back strong - especially a move toward more downtown housing and a need for more condominiums.

Realtor Jon Lewandowski said the dramatic One St. Petersburg building, located at 100 1st Avenue North, is built for luxury.

In addition to condos, the building will feature an entire block of retail shops and stores, as well as a hotel. A formal grand opening is slated to be scheduled early in 2019.

"Club One is the premier lounge for the building," Lewandowski said while giving a sneak peek of a 7th floor unit. "So you have a fireplace, flat screen televisions on both sides.. and the view.

"And this is the view. I mean it's unobstructed. You're not gonna have anything built in front of you."

The seventh floor pool and amenity deck has four grills and fire pits. There is a little grotto and a small jacuzzi. The area also has a lap pool and turf outdoor carpeting.

The building has 253 units that fill the 41 stories and 75 percent of the units face east. Units range in size from 1402 to 3910 square feet with two to three and a half bedrooms. According to realtor websites, units have been sold ranging from just under $670,000 to more than $1.3 million.

Lewandowski said the units will feature big kitchens, all with touch appliances

State-of-the-art gourmet appliances, imported European cabinetry, quartz counter tops can be found throughout the condos.

"And it's all sold out," Lewandowski said. "It's sold out. it's been sold out, but there are resales that are happening, and so when those happen. And so when those happen, they're going up 30-40 percent."
