The delivery of more than 5,600 pounds of equipment and supplies arrived just three days after it launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
Commander Alexander Gerst of the European Space Agency used the space station's robotic arm to capture the capsule.
The capture was delayed briefly due to communications issue between the ground and NASA's tracking and data relay satellites.
The Dragon capsule contained science gear, experiments, station equipment and Christmas dinner. The food includes smoked turkey, green bean casserole, candied yams, cranberry sauce and cookies.
SpaceX's Dragon capsule is set to leave the space station in January 2019 and return to Earth with research and hardware.
