ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Another blast of chilly air has come through the region. Expect partly cloudy skies overnight into early Tuesday morning with a north breeze. There will be a few sprinkles, mainly in coastal areas.

  • Chilly couple of days
  • Warming Friday
  • Rain likely Friday

Morning temperatures will bottom out in the 40s for most spots, but some upper 30s in Citrus to Hernando counties.

Tuesday will be a chilly day, with highs only in the 50s to near 60. Skies will be partly cloudy for the first half of the day, especially in coastal areas.

There might even be a few sprinkles in those areas as the strong north wind pushes moisture southward down our coastline. Skies will go mostly sunny in the afternoon.

Tuesday night will be clear and cold. The winds will die down, but the temperatures will drop fast after sunset. It will be a good night to sit by the fire pit as the winds will decrease.

Wednesday morning lows will be cold in the 30s, and possibly some frost in the coldest spots of Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco counties.

Thursday will slowly begin the moderating trend, with highs back into the low 70s under mostly sunny skies.

Friday will be warmer, with highs in the mid 70s. However, we expect a line of showers and storms to move through that day.
