ORLANDO, Fla. — Neil deGrasse Tyson has postponed his upcoming appearance in Orlando.

  • Neil deGrasse Tyson's Orlando appearance postponed
  • Tyson was set for a talk at Bob Carr Theater on January 24
  • News comes amid sexual misconduct allegations against Tyson

The 60-year-old famed astrophysicist was set appear during "An Evening with Neil deGrasse Tyson" at the Bob Carr Theater on January 24.

Tickets purchased with a debit or credit card will be automatically refunded, according to a notice on the Dr. Phillips Center's website.

A reason for the postponement was not given, but it comes after Patheos.com published accounts from women who accused Tyson of inappropriate sexual behavior.

Following the accusations, National Geographic and Fox Broadcasting, which aired Tyson's hit series Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, said they would conduct independent investigations.

Tyson also canceled an upcoming talk at the Straz Center in Tampa.
