St. Petersburg Police are investigating a fatal stabbing at an apartment complex.

According to officials, 23-year-old Zachery Eggleston died after being stabbed at an apartment in the 500 block of 77th Avenue North.
Officers said Eggleston broke into an apartment where a man, woman and her daughter were sleeping. The two men fought, and the man stabbed Eggleston.
Both men were taken to a hospital to be treated for their injuries. Eggleston died.
Authorities said both men live at the apartment complex, but the men apparently did not know each other.
An investigation is ongoing, but no charges have been filed as of right now.
