The Seminole Police Department of the Seminole Tribe of Florida said a man armed with a gun robbed a cashier in the casino's poker room just after 2 a.m.
Police said the man was described as about 5-foot-4 and 140 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweater with gray sleeves and black sweat pants. He was in his mid to late 20s, officials said.
The suspect ran out of the casino and headed south on Orient Road on foot.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies with K-9s helped in the search for the suspect.
Officials are reviewing surveillance video from multiple locations.
An investigation is ongoing.
