Officials are warning residents of a road closure starting Monday in Tampa. 

The southbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard will close between Gandy Boulevard and Marlin Avenue Monday morning while the Tampa Water Department completes water pipeline repairs. 

Barricades and flagmen will be located in the area to assist with traffic flow. 

Officials ask drivers to use caution when driving in the area. 

The repair work is expected to be completed by 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6. The roadway restoration work is expected to be completed by 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, with a return to normal traffic patterns.
