A Sunday afternoon fire destroyed a mobiles and multiple sheds and vehicles in Brooksville.

According to Hernando County Fire Rescue, the fire broke out in the rural area near 4370 Neff Lake Road. 

Upon arrival, firefighters found a mobile home engulfed in flames. There was no one in the home and no injuries were reported.

Officials said the fast-moving fire broke out just before 4:30 p.m. and multiple structures and vehicles also were quickly burning. The flames spread to a utility shed, a recreational vehicle, a car and into nearby woods. 

Crews worked to put out the flames, which ultimately spread to about five acres. 

The Florida Forest Service was called in to assist in the fire. 

Crews were able to contain the flames and limit the fire to about seven acres burned. 

The fire remains under investigation.
