Tampa police have released the identity of the 24-year-old motorcyclist killed on the Courtney Campbell Causeway Saturday.

Authorities said Yasiel Ramirez Guitierrez was killed in the hit-and-run crash that happened in the early-morning hours. 

Guitierrez was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed, police said.

The motorcycle struck the back of a pickup truck that was making a U-turn at a traffic light. The man was thrown from the motorcyle and landed in the roadway.

While lying in the road, the man was struck by two other vehicles. One of the vehicles remained at the scene, while the other fled. A description of the driver or vehicle that drove off has not been released.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
