Cocoa detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect connected to the murder of a 65-year-old Ocala man.

Police say they responded to Dixie Motel Wednesday just after 11 a.m. after an employee at Dixie Motel on 301 Forrest Avenue reported finding a body in one of the motel rooms.

Authorities determined that Terry Scott Hillard, 65, was murdered. They say he arrived at the motel Tuesday around 5 p.m. and was accompanied by a younger man.

Police are seeking a white male suspect in his early to mid-twenties, with average build, dark hair and a short goatee.

He was seen on security footage wearing a black, short-sleeved, button-down shirt, with loosing fitting blue jeans and black shoes.

Detectives say the suspect may have fled with the victim’s vehicle to the Hialeah area of South Florida.
