Three people have been arrested in connection to last week's slaying of a Lake Nona High School student, Orlando Police said Friday.

K'Vonte Dowe was shot and found dead in the 9200 block of Kensington Row Court, less than 5 miles from the high school.

Police have arrested 19-year-old Richard M. Washington, 18-year-old Elijah S. Lewis and a 17-year-old boy in Dowe's homicide case, they said. We are not identifying the minor at this time per our crime guidelines.

Dowe had just turned 18 in December.
