Tampa police are investigating an early-morning shooting outside a strip club.

According to police, a man was shot outside the Hush Gentlemen's Club at 3260 Hillsborough Avenue.
The shooting happened after an altercation broke out as the club was closing just before 3 a.m. The man was shot in the neck and was rushed to an area hospital, police said.
Officials said the man, who was alert, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. Police set up a perimeter around the club and examined a vehicle in the parking lot.
Police have not said if there are any suspects.
