A 27-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle as she walked across U.S. 19 earlier this week has died, troopers say.

Brittany LaJoie, 27, of New Port Richey was struck at about 5:13 p.m. Wednesday near State Road 52 in Pasco County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.
Investigators said she walked into the path of a northbound 2013 Mercedes C250 driven by a 26-year-old Port Richey woman.
After the crash, LaJoie was taken to Bayonet Point hospital, where she died late Friday evening, according to LaJoie's family.
Charges are pending, a report said.
