A father and child were both hit by a vehicle Tuesday in Pasco County, and the child later died, stated the Florida Highway Patrol.

The FHP said the the incident happened at Moog Road and Morley Drive.
A child about 18 months old ran into the path of a 2012 Chevy county truck and was hit. The child's father ran after the child and was also hit by the truck.
The child died at a local hospital. The father was listed in stable condition at Bayonet Hospital.
The FHP did not state what type of county vehicle it was or which department it came from.
