Authorities in Manatee County are investigating a homicide.

- Female was found deceased inside vehicle
- Person of interest detained
The Sheriff's Office said it responded at about 3 p.m. Friday to the 6900 block of Cortez Road West in Bradenton.
A dead woman was found inside a car at the home, deputies said.
Her identification hasn't been released.
"The victim was discovered by a co-worker who went to her residence to look for her after she didn't return to work after lunch," said Dave Bristow, public information officer for the Sheriff's Office.
Detectives have detained someone they called a person of interest but have not arrested anyone.
