Troopers said the woman, Tracey Crow, was driving a Kia Sedona eastbound down County Road 6 when, for an unknown reason, Crow traveled into the path of a Jeep Wrangler traveling westbound.

The driver of the Jeep, Deniss Ardon, 25, tried to veer left, but was unable to avoid collision.

The impact caused the Kia to travel off the roadway, overturn, and collide with a barb wire fence. During the collision, the Kia lost a tire that traveled into the roadway and collided with two other vehicles.

No one in those vehicles were injured in the crash.

According to the report, Crow was pronounced dead on scene. The 7-year-old passenger Lila Gore was transported to Bayfront Medical Center in critical condition. A newborn in the Kia Sedona was not injured.

The driver of the Jeep and a passenger in the vehicle received only minor injuries.

The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. Thursday, April 12.
