Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Thursday into Friday morning, with a look at conditions through midweek next week.

  • Dry Friday
  • Weekend rain chance
  • Another front Tuesday

It was a gorgeous day across the region, with lower humidity and pleasant temperatures. Skies will be mostly clear into Friday morning, with just a little patchy fog in northern counties to begin with.

Morning lows will be seasonably cool, starting in the 50s to mid 60s.

Friday will feature mostly sunny skies with warmer highs in the mid 80s. Friday night will be mostly clear and nice with lows in the 60s.

After that things start to change quickly, as clouds will be on the increase Saturday. A batch of moisture will pass through our atmosphere, resulting in some passing rain showers. The best chance of rain appears to be in the afternoon to evening.

Highs will be in the low to mid 80s.

Saturday night will be variably cloudy with still some lingering rain showers in the area. Lows will be in the 60s to near 70.

Sunday will feature a stalled front near us, so we’ll have just enough lingering moisture in the atmosphere to produce a few late afternoon to evening scattered showers, but not as many as Saturday. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s.

Monday will be partly sunny with a few late day scattered showers. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s.

Tuesday will be when we get our next front. That will likely be our best rain chance as the front pushes a batch of moisture in from the Gulf.

Behind that we’ll have slightly cooler, drier air for Wednesday.
