Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Friday into Saturday morning, along with a look at conditions through the weekend.

  • Front stalls
  • Some rain chances
  • Another front Tuesday

Skies will be mostly clear into the morning. There will be a little patchy fog, but it will quickly burn off after sunrise.

Morning lows will be in the 60s. Clouds will be on the increase for Saturday with a chance of showers possible.

There is no exact time for the showers because it will not be a front that moves through. Instead, a front will stall just to our north, resulting in a push of atmospheric moisture. That will lead to scattered showers moving in from the gulf.

However, we do have a general idea of how it looks like it will play out. We’ll start with partly cloudy skies going mostly cloudy later in the day. There could be an isolated sprinkle or light shower early in the day, but otherwise the first half of the day looks mainly quiet.

Then later in the day into the evening scattered showers will likely approach from the west and come in from the gulf.  Highs will range from the 70s at the beach, to the low to mid 80s inland.

It will be a very breezy day with higher humidity.

Saturday night will feature variably cloudy skies with scattered showers and a couple of thunderstorms possible.

Sunday will feature mostly cloudy skies and some scattered showers due to the front stalling just to our north, keeping the atmospheric moisture over us. But we don’t expect a total washout. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s Sunday.

The next front will bring us our best chance of rain on Tuesday into Tuesday night. There will likely be a big batch of showers move through that night and exit Wednesday morning.

Then a cold front will move through with slightly cooler, drier air moving in for Wednesday into Thursday.
