A 53-year-old Hudson man said he fired shots at a group of people Sunday night in self-defense, according to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a residence in the 15900 block of Brenda Street.

The resident told deputies a group of men showed up at his home and started yelling and breaking his windows. 

The man then called 911 and retrieved a revolver. 

When the resident told the group to leave his property, one member of the group charged at him, according to the Sheriff’s Office report.

A short time later, a 37-year-old man arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound. Deputies said his injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

The case remains under investigation.
