The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting at a hotel pool party.

  • Deputies responded to Clarion Inn and Conference Center at 9331 Adamo Drive 
  • Man went to area hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wound

Deputies responded to the Clarion Inn and Conference Center at 9331 Adamo Drive after a report of shots fired at 7:45 p.m. Sunday.  

The "DRC (Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie) Celebrity Pool Party" was put on by 2LIT Concierge and Event Planning and was heavily advertised on social  media with the promise of celebrity attendance. 

Rodgers-Cromartie, originally from Bradenton, is a veteran NFL free agent who played last season with the New York Giants.

At least 500 people were at the event when shots reportedly rang out. 

Deputies did not locate any victims, however a victim of a gunshot wound showed up at a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The victim has not been cooperative with detectives and has not provided any details.
