Tarpon Springs Police Major Jeff Young confirmed Wednesday that three people, along with three small dogs, were found dead Tuesday in a mobile home on Juanita Way in The Meadows Mobile Home Park, located at 505 Anclote Boulevard.

No names have been released.

Police did not release any suspect information, only saying the killings "were not a random act." and that the "individual(s) were known to the victims."

Officials from the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner's Office arrived to the scene early Wednesday. The medical examiners office will conduct autopsies and determine the cause and time of detah.

Officers responded just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to the location to conduct a welfare check on individuals that had not been heard from in several days.

Officials said the bodies were in an "advanced stage of decomposition."

Police had to wait to obtain a search warrant before they could actually start the investigation Tuesday.

Young said the investigation is still in it's early stages and limited information has been made available.

Some neighbors in the mobile home park said they are worried. Police have told residents there is no immediate threat.

"Worst things we've ever had here are some car break-ins, maybe one burglary over all these years," said resident Grant Pursell. "But it's a very quiet, very peaceful neighborhood, yeah."
