The last time anyone saw 62-year-old Deborah Saucier was last Tuesday, January 8.

Her family said police found her car on January 14 abandoned at Julian B. Lane Park. They also found surveillance video of her getting out of the car, walking down the street and disappearing near the underpass at Laurel Street and I-275.

Her daughter, Candace Larry, said when she found out her mother hadn’t been home in two days, she contacted police and hit the ground running in her search.

“I know one thing. The only thing I know for a fact is that she would never torment me like this," Larry told us. "She would never put me through this purposely. She would not hide from me. She’s not that kind of mother."

Retracing her steps

Fighting back tears, Larry pleaded for help finding her mother.

“I just feel like something’s wrong," she said. "I feel like my mother’s out there and it’s been cold, she don’t have her medicine, she’s older and she’s just out there. And if you have a mother then you have to feel me on that. She’s just out there and I don’t know where she is.”

With the help of Tampa Police, Larry said they were able to get a silver alert issued and retrace her mother’s steps from last Tuesday.

“I know she went to the casino for a few hours that Tuesday. She left the casino and then her car was found at Julian B Lane Park. From there her car was found with all of her belongings. Finally, also found that she left on foot walking from Julian B. Lane Park."

Larry and her family started passing out fliers near the park, hoping to get that one tip that helps bring this grandmother back home.

She said her mother has some memory loss issues and she also takes medication that she hasn’t had access to in eight days.

If you have any information you’re asked to contact police (813) 231-6130.
