ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Skies will go between mostly clear and partly cloudy overnight into early Friday morning. It will be a cool morning, but not as cold as the past few.

Lows will mainly be in the upper 30s to mid 40s. There will still be some mid 30s in Citrus to northern Hernando County. There will be slightly milder spots near 50 closer to the coast.

A warming trend will continue into Friday, with highs getting back to the low to mid 70s in the afternoon. Skies will feature lots of sunshine, with some high clouds passing overhead. Overall, it will be a gorgeous day.

Friday night will be mostly clear to partly cloudy, with lows in the 50s to upper 40s.

Saturday will continue the warming trend, with highs in the upper 70s. Winds will increase through the day, making for a breezy afternoon to evening.

Clouds will be on the increase, which will lead to a rain chance overnight going into early Sunday.

There will be a line of showers and storms that move through quickly early Sunday morning. Temperatures will hold steady in the 60s that morning. The rain will move out fast, likely gone by 9 a.m.

After that expect drier, colder air to start rushing into the region, with dropping temperatures through the afternoon and a strong northwest wind.

Skies will clear with temperatures dropping into the 30s going into Monday morning.

Monday will be a cool but sunny day, with highs in the 50s.
