MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — Country music star Garth Brooks is trading out his guitar for a baseball bat this week at Pittsburgh Pirates Spring Training.

Brooks will be suited up all week, meeting fans and playing baseball all in the name of a good cause.

In 1999 Brooks started the non-profit Teammates for Kids to raise money through sports for inner city kids.

Twenty years later at the tender age of 57, Garth can still step up to the plate.

The Pirates are the 4th team the music legend has appeared with.  He's also grabbed his glove for the Mets, Padres, and Royals.

If you'd like your chance to meet Garth Brooks, he'll be out practicing with the team at LECOM Park located at 1611 9th Street West in Bradenton.
