HOLIDAY, Fla. — The family involved in a drive-by shooting that resulted in two injuries was still shaken by the event Wednesday morning.

  • 2 people shot in Holiday; non-life threatening injuries
  • Deputies say gunshots fired into home on Rally Lane
  • Shooting under investigation; deputies looking at surveillance video from scene

"My grandson didn't deserve that. My son didn't deserve that," said William Bleau.

Bleau said he was in the mobile home on Rally Lane when the shooting took place around 9 p.m. Tuesday night.

"My son was talking to me in the doorway of my room, and all of a sudden, he just flinched," Bleau said. "And then we heard my grandson yell. When he turned around to run back there to him, I saw the bullet hole in his back."

Bleau’s 11-year-old grandson sustained a foot injury, but a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson couldn’t confirm Wednesday afternoon if that was from gunfire.

Both Bleau and his son said they didn't know why their home would be targeted. They, along with neighbors, said they were frustrated by recent criminal activity in the neighborhood.

"When I first moved here, I didn't know how bad this neighborhood is. This neighborhood is really bad,” Bleau said.

Bleau said he's grateful both his son and grandson are doing well, and he's grateful they are going to be OK.

“The people who did this are cowards, plain and simple – cowards," he said. "I have no need for cowards. I have no need for people who just randomly shoot at somebody and hit kids. Kids don't deserve it."
