ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Some scattered showers will drift eastward across the area overnight into Wednesday morning.

Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies and a breezy wind from the west off the Gulf. Morning lows will be in the 60s.

Slightly drier air will be moving in for Wednesday, but the low pressure will be slow to move out.

As a result, expect that there will still be a few lingering isolated showers coming in from the Gulf of Mexico, mainly during the first half of the day. Otherwise, expect decreasing clouds with more sunshine later in the day and drier air moving in.

Winds will still be a bit breezy from the west-northwest.

High temperatures will be slightly lower. However, there is not a lot of cooler air behind this front, so our highs will still be in the low 80s.

The humidity will be a little lower, so that will make it feel more comfortable, especially going into Wednesday night.

Thursday morning lows will be in the upper 50s to mid 60s.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and warm, with highs in the mid 80s.

Friday will be mostly sunny as well, with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

This weekend will be very similar to the last one. We’ll have a warming trend with highs in the upper 80s away from the water. There will even be a couple of spots that touch 90.

Coastal areas will be a little lower, with highs in the mid 80s.

Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy Saturday.

Sunday will be partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of a late day thunderstorm, mainly inland.
