MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — A Palmetto man is facing charges in a deadly crash involving a motorcycle.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Jose Antonio Colon Vega, 47, was drunk when he collided with the motorcycle.
The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. Thursday on US 301 and Co Rd 675 in Manatee County.
Troopers said Vega made a left turn at the intersection, directly into the path of the motorcycle, causing the vehicles to collided.
The motorcyclist, 54-year-old Kenneth Bauer, was killed in the crash.
Vega faces several charges including DUI.
