Hermel Levesque was unloading items for a flea market

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said it believes Hermel Levesque, of Port Richey, was setting up a table at the St. Marks Church flea market when someone jumped into his SUV.

The suspect pulled out of the parking lot while Levesque was still unloading items from the trailer that was attached to the SUV, according to investigators.

The suspect drove down State Road 52 as items from the trailer spilled onto the roadway.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 34-year-old man was driving Levesque's SUV. The suspect lost control of the vehicle and struck a palm tree. The SUV overturned, killing Levesque and injuring the suspect.

The suspect was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital with critical injuries.
