WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Heartland Crime Stoppers are hoping for the public’s help in finding a missing mother French bulldog and three of her puppies stolen from a Winter Haven hone on Saturday.

Owner Teddy Frank said the mother dog, named "Fig," delivered four puppies in March. He posted on Facebook at the time that he would sell several of the puppies for $2,250 each.

He gave one of the puppies, named "Bear," to his sister, Sarah Aguilar.

Aguilar said Fig and the three remaining puppies were stolen while Frank was attending a baseball game.

“It’s heartbreaking," Aguilar told us. "It’s so upsetting to everybody because you get so attached to them. You just think of them as your own kids."

She added her brother was very upset about the theft.

“He just called me, so upset and heartbroken," she said. "Just very depressed about this situation.”

Aguilar believes that the person or persons responsible for the theft may have known her brother.
