ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The hot, mainly dry pattern we’ve seen this weekend is obviously different from the wet pattern we had for a couple of weeks. This came at a good time to allow for some drying out, but it's resulted in very hot afternoons since there’s nothing to cool us down.

There will be a couple of isolated storms, but they will mainly be to our north and east. So the best chance of seeing a storm is in Citrus or Polk County, but even there, the chance is very small.
Skies will be mostly clear overnight into early Monday morning. Lows will be in the low to mid 70s inland and in the upper 70s near the coast.

The atmosphere will remain rather dry into Monday, so don’t expect any big change. It will be another mostly sunny day with hot afternoon highs in the mid 90s inland and low 90s near the coast.
There will only be a 10 percent chance of a very isolated storm.
Monday night will be mostly clear with lows in the 70s.
Atmospheric moisture will start increasing Tuesday, and that will result in a few scattered storms that day with a 30 percent coverage. Highs will still be in the mid 90s inland and low 90s near the coast.
From Wednesday onward, atmospheric moisture will start increasing, which will lead to better rain chances toward the end of the week.
