WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 32-year-old Cordarrel Anderson on Tuesday, stating that he shot at a vehicle on I-75, then fled from deputies.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's office, Anderson pulled next to the victim while driving, lowered his window and shot at the victim with a handgun type weapon.

He also drove through the yards of residencies.

The gunshots caused damage to the victim’s occupied vehicle, but no one was injured.

The suspect passed a deputy while driving and the deputy pursued it. But the suspect drove at speeds of up to 110 mph and ran through stop signs, losing the deputy. The pursuit was called off due to the danger involved if they continued it. 

After being arrested, Anderson claimed he used a BB gun to shoot at the victim and admitted to fleeing from the deputies at high speeds.

Anderson is being charged with aggravated assault and shooting deadly missile into an occupied vehicle.
