ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Post-tropical Dorian’s winds finally dropped below hurricane winds.

It is over Northeast Canada. Gabrielle is in the middle of the Atlantic and will not affect land.

Locally, the trough of low pressure that moved south Friday evening is returning north.  There could be enough moisture around for a couple of showers to be around this evening. Those will be from Tampa Bay and south.

Some moisture will remain in our atmosphere for Monday. Monday will start out fairly comfortable. Lows north of Tampa will be near 70 to the mid and upper 70s for Tampa Bay.

The morning will likely have some low clouds. The afternoon will be partly cloudy with a chance for a few showers or storms along the sea breeze.

Highs will be in the low 90s. Humidity will be reasonable.  Light winds will be easterly allowing for the sea breeze.

Tuesday looks a little drier again. Highs will get back into the low 90s again. Light  winds will be easterly. Skies will be partly cloudy.

On Wednesday, the easterly to northeasterly winds will get a little breezier. Lows will be in the low to mid 70s. Highs will still be in the low 90s. A few showers and storms will be possible in the afternoon.

Through Thursday it will be breezy with easterly winds. There will be a few afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms on the sea breeze. Chances will stay lower than normal though.

The next best chance for rain across the area may be next Friday or Saturday.
