ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Skies will be mostly cloudy overnight into early Tuesday morning with scattered rain showers.

Morning lows will be in the low to mid 70s.

As promised, we saw atmospheric moisture increase the past couple of days with some beneficial rain showers entering the region.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny with scattered rain showers again. The second benefit to the rain is the slightly lower temperatures, as highs will stay in the 80s again.

We will still have showers in the area through Wednesday.

After that, a blast of drier, less humid air will rush into the region Thursday into Friday. That will dry us out for the weekend, but more importantly it will bring in a comfortable air mass with much lower humidity.
